25 years
of history
Our story began more than 25 years ago at the beginning of the 90s, in the post-Soviet territory. After the collapse of the USSR, the fishing industry experienced a downwards spiral; under-financed and undermanned.
We combined our accumulated knowledge from the Soviet era, and with the help of national institutions, we developed our own team of professionals, educating them and giving them a fresh start with the aim of achieving the highest quality in every aspect of production and processing.
Astrakhan used to be the capital of black caviar production. During the Soviet period, total production would amount to 5,000 tonnes of caviar each year (currently worldwide annual caviar production is just 300 tonnes).
After the USSR collapsed, the government stopped financing the fishing industry, leaving it to survive on its own. It was at this time that we began collaborating with Soviet professionals who had accumulated experience in sturgeon breeding and caviar processing.
We took the vast knowledge gained in Astrakhan and relocated to the Baltic countries. Combining the experience of generations with modem Innovation
and technology allowed us to improve and perfect our skills in industrial aquaculture and caviar processing.
